Volunteering
UAPA needs your help! Whether you have lots of time, only an occasional hour or two, or something in between, there are ways that you can contribute. Below is a list of our committees. Please consider joining one. We'd love to have you.

The Communications Committee is responsible for communicating UAPA's message via the web, newsletter, printed materials and public communications. Do you have experience in media relations, writing, graphic design or a related field? If so, we can use your talents.

The Events and Education Committee is responsible for increasing UAPA's support through participation in community service, volunteer, educational and social activities. Do you have experience with event planning, speakers' bureaus or community service projects? Do you enjoy networking with like-minded progressives? Then this is the committee for you.

The Precinct Program Committee is responsible for developing personal neighborhood connections to strengthen UAPA's progressive community, bolstering support for the Democratic Party and increasing the electability of Democratic and progressive candidates. Do you have experience in grassroots mobilization, phone banking, or distributing literature door-to-door? Would you enjoy the opportunity to network with your neighbors? Then consider joining our Precinct Program Committee.

The Development Committee is responsible for raising the funds that enable UAPA to hold events, support our precinct program and pay for our general administrative expenses, all leading up to victory for progressive candidates in 2008.

I would consider displaying a political yard sign.

I would consider hosting a campaign event or fundraiser in my home.

I would be proud to display a UAPA sticker on my car.

I'd love to get some exercise by distributing campaign literature door-to-door.
