CNN: Petraeus might have difficulty in selling the American public that the surge is working in Iraq. An August CNN/Opinion Research Poll showed that 53 percent of Americans don't trust him and think he will make the situation in Iraq sound better. Only 43 percent of those surveyed in August said they trusted that Petraeus would give an honest assessment.
